Conditions

Wind and the length of line you carry change how a cast looks, so the app lets you note them for each cast.

Open a cast, tap More (the three dots), then Conditions. Or tap the Conditions row on the Overview tab.

• Wind: No wind, Wind behind, Into wind or Crosswind.
• Line out: how much line you were carrying, in feet or metres.
• Rod and line for this cast: the setup it was cast with.

Why it matters

Into the wind, loops open and the pause shortens; with a long line out, the arc has to widen. Noting the conditions lets you compare like with like: the Progress screen can show only no-wind casts, or only windy ones.
