Privacy policy

Tight Loop · Last updated 6 October 2026

The short version

Tight Loop analyzes your fly casts on your phone. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and it does not record how you use it. Your videos, traces, scores, voice notes and settings stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.

One thing leaves your device without you sending it. In the App Store and Google Play versions, the record of your purchase goes to RevenueCat, which checks it and shows us totals, such as how many people bought Pro. See Purchases below.

What stays on your device

The analysis runs on the device with Google’s MediaPipe pose model, which ships inside the app. The model’s usage reporting is switched off, and the app blocks its own connections to the internet. Voice notes are written out as text only when the device can do it on its own; the app never sends audio to a speech service.

The app asks iOS and Android to leave your casts, videos and voice notes out of iCloud and Google device backups. To move them to a new phone, make a backup file in You › Export and backup.

What leaves your device, only when you choose

We never receive any of these. The app or person you send them to handles them under their own privacy policy.

Purchases

In the App Store and Google Play versions, Apple or Google take your payment for the one-time unlock. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, verifies it. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history, and the store, app version and country needed to validate the purchase, and it shows us totals made from them, such as the number of purchases in each country. None of this is linked to your name or email, and none of it is used for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Permissions

Children

Tight Loop is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, and it needs no account and no name, so children at a casting clinic can use it like anyone else. If you type a child’s name on a progress card or in a message to an instructor, that name is in the card or file you choose to share.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete one cast, or everything in You › Delete all casts, or remove the app. Files you shared, exported or backed up are yours to keep or delete. To have your purchase record deleted from RevenueCat, contact us. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies.

Your rights

Because we don’t hold your data, the app handles most requests itself. You › Export and backup gives you a copy of everything, and deleting removes it. We do not sell or share personal information. For anything else, including requests under the GDPR or the CCPA, contact us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
