Your first cast in five minutes
The quickest way to see what Tight Loop does is the sample cast, then one cast of your own.
- Open the app. Skip the three intro screens if you like, then answer Which hand holds the rod? and On video, which way do you cast? and tap Start. You can change both later in You.
- On Casts, tap Try a sample cast. The app films a simulated caster, finds the body, and asks you to tap the rod tip. The sample never counts against your free video.
- Tap the very end of the rod on each of the three frames, then tap Trace. The review opens with the rod tip path drawing itself on the video.
- Now your own: tap the round Record button. Stand side-on to the phone, about a third of the frame tall, wait for the checks to turn white, and tap the shutter. Cast two or three times; recording stops on its own.
- Tap the rod tip on three frames again, and read your trace: the loop score, What we saw, and the stroke bands under the video.
Everything runs on the phone, so it works at the river with no signal.
