Export and backup

You › Export and backup keeps your casts safe and lets you take them anywhere.

• Spreadsheet of your casts: one row per cast with date, score, faults, timing, speed, rod and line. Opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
• Full backup: casts, traces, reviews, voice notes, rod and line setups, instructors and settings. Turn on Include videos to keep the clips too; without them the backup is small, but casts come back without their videos.
• Restore from a backup: adds the casts in a backup file. Casts already on the phone stay as they are.

Moving to a new phone

1. Make a full backup on the old phone and send it to yourself, or save it to Files.
2. On the new phone, install Tight Loop and open the backup file, or use Restore from a backup.
3. Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchases. Pro is not part of a backup.

Your casts are kept out of iCloud and Google device backups, so a backup file is the only way they move to a new phone. After your third cast, the Casts tab suggests making one.

Everything stays on your phone until you export it.
